I love roses, but not purple or yellow ones, the best. But I also like daisies. I've always wanted to make a daisy crown. If you could either climb trees, walk explore the woods, or play at a mega-playground the whole day, which would you choose? For me I can't decide between woods and playground.

That's hard. Climbing trees or the playground probably. Especially because who says you need to stay inside the playground and not crawl around on top? Do you have a cold? Sorry...not being very creative in my questions, and I'll say that I have a cold as an excuse.

Nope, no cold. I have a headache though, and for some reason I think that staring at a computer screen will make it better. What is a good historical/historical fiction book you've read? I like Number the Stars, about a girl during World War II, and there are three books, Brothers at Arms, Boy Colonial, and The Secret of the Lost Settlement. They are connected in TSOTLS, but that one is creepier and make-you-sick-and-disgusted-er. Don't read it if you're not a teenager. But they are all good Christian historical fiction.

I really like "The Courage of Nikolai," which is based on a true story, and also the Mandie Books (which aren't technically historical fiction and are technically for a tween-ish age group, but I like them and you learn things about the early twentieth century so I put them down anyway. ) How many calendars do you have for this year? 3: one with coral reefs, one with puppies, and one with underwater dogs <3 . Last year I had 4 (1 dog, 1 horse, 2 landscape). I really like calendars!!!

Only two. One small one with scenery for my wall, and then a day by day nature/verse calendar.

What, no questions??? One of the rules of an author is to never run out of questions.

Ooops, forgot. Do you enjoy a particular historical period? I really like Greek and Roman history.

I like Great Depression and World War II. I like reading stories from that time period, and watching movies from it too. Kit Kittredge anyone?
What is your decorating style? I am half antique and vintage and half fantasy and travel. Travel is things like old maps, compasses, globes, things like that. I have an antique/vintage decorated shelf and a fantasy/travel decorated desk.

Ummm... does "Bookish" count? I actually don't really have a decorating style; my room is pretty plain. I have a display of horses from when I was little, and the odds and ends listed over in "You know you're a writer," but other than that... if I ever had the opportunity to decorate a house though, I would probably go with rustic/travel. How often do you use the phone? Every day.

Not often. I don't normally call people, but I do use my ipad quite a bit.
Do you keep a journal? I do. I have for years, but it's pretty boring...things like 'we went shopping today' or 'we butchered chickens then went to the lake'. But I do have a few other journals that I only write in occasionally which are more in-depth into my thoughts.

Yes, I do. I try to write mostly every night and, as that might get mundane sometimes, I use different narratives to write (mostly in the form of letters.) Do you play an instrument? I play the piano, guitar, penny whistle, bodhrán (Irish drum), and a some others as well.

Wow, that's a lot of instruments! I play piano, violin, recorder, nose flute (if that counts ) and I've played around with the lap harp and bells/chimes. I love piano the best though. Whenever I hear someone say that they practiced violin for 3+ hours, I just have to remind myself that I could easily spend that much time on the piano. Do you have a fish? If yes, what is their name(s)? Yes. A beta named Strider Legolas Nemo Francisco Vasquez de Coronado Mr. Finney the 3.

I had a fish three weeks ago and then he died. His name was Squishy the Invisible Nazi Killer form Quebec. I just called him Squishy.
Do you collect things? If so then what? I collect bottles, but I'm very picky about those, and cameos.

I used to collect rocks, then it was quarters, but now it's just books. Are you going to any fairs this year? If so, are you entering projects? Yes, I'm doing 4-H this year; I'm entering an artificial flower crown, a 10-photo board, and one large photo.

We went to the St. Jo. Fair this year. We didn't do 4-H.
What is the most heart-wrenching, soul-stabbing thing you've ever heard? Heard, not seen. For me it would be the scream that Eomer gives when he thinks Eowyn has died on the battlefield. It still gives me the shivers.
