I'm not sure if this is the right thread for this, but I thought it might be cool to have a thread for posting about various contests and challenges and such that we come across, in case others might be interested in them

The other day I found a contest being run by Perry Elisabeth on her blog, basically you write a short story inspired by one of two gorgeous book covers, and if you win the contest, you get that cover to use for free. (link: perryelisabethdesign.com/short-story-contest/)
Also, there's a historical fiction writing contest here: generationswithvision.com/bunyan-fiction-writing-contest/. This one has a $15 fee to enter, though.
