Hey guys! If you've read Chatter, you'll know that I have finished the first draft of Dawn. After I finish the second draft, I am looking for ONE beta reader. But the terms are this.
I am going to start a challenge. The details will come later. Whoever wins can give me their actual address, (where they live - not email) and IF my mom says, I will MAIL her the story. (I have to do it that way because I cannot find a way to do it on the internet. You may not get the story for weeks or months, depending on how quick I can finish it. WARNING: You may not get it at all, even if you win, if my Mom doesn't give her permission. But I think she will, and even if she doesn't, what's another story challenge in the grand scheme of life?)
Then, when she has read it, she can either mail me her comments, (return address on package) or post them here if she likes. She doesn't have to mail back the story, but if she would I will not complain.
OK, here is the challenge requirements.
* The beginning OR end will be this - "It is when we think we've lost control of everything, and our world is crumbling apart around us that we need to remember we were never in control in the first place. "
* No more than five hundred words long.
* Written in the first person i.e. - "I knew those words like the back of my hand. My mother whispered them to me every night."
*Whoever enters MUST be willing to let me have her address.
I will decide the winner in TWO WEEKS, so you have that much time to enter. I will let you know who won then. Then that winner can post her address, and watch the mail for a package from me, if it comes. If it will not be mailed, due to lack of parental consent, I will REALLY try and think of a different way. If not, I'm really sorry you went to all that hard work disgusting boring work just to write a short story. (just kidding
)
