Thanks for the info Hope. That sounds about my price range. I'm in Shipshewana at the moment, and if you've been here, you know there are a million antique style stores to choose from. I hope I find something good. I just realized how many sub categories I have in my laptop. I'm on vacation so I didn't have my notebook readily available, and I wanted to read something I'd written in my character description of Rianna from Dawn. This is how it went. Documents - Books - Trilogy - Dawn - Character Descriptions - Good Side - Girls - Rianna Character Description.

Hey guys. Apart from Dawn I am working on a short-ish story that combines a lot of fairy tales. The working title is The Prince, The Apple, and The Tower. I need a name for the bad lady that sounds like Malicent. It's taken off of Malificent obviously, but I don't think I want to spell it Malicent. Something else that still makes the same sound but different spelling. Any ideas? All are welcome. The prince's name is Adam, (beauty and the beast) and the princess is Ella Rose (cinderella and sleeping beauty), but she wants people to call her Erica. He has just found out he is the prince and needs to rescue her from a tower. Sounds very clique, but I promise it is not your ordinary fairy tale. If you want to read a bit of it, I have some in the first line section of the forum.

Oh dear, I've been so busy with school that I haven't been on here in a while. 10th grade... ick. XP Plus my school's wifi blocked proboards, so I can't go on in study or anything :/ But I've decided that April will be the month that I catch up on everything, and I figured out a way to get up earlier and be more productive! (instead of staying up late and not getting anything done cuz I'm too tired )

That's a good question Writefury. I'll have to think about that for a while.

I DID IT! Ladies and more ladies, I have officially finished the first draft of Dawn! YAAAAAAAAY! Wild applause!!!! About sixty pages on a big notebook, so hopefully with the right touch, about fifty pages on my laptop. Now I just have to write the second draft...and third...and probably fourth. And I got excited. But seriously, this is a big milestone. This is only my second book I've finished. My first was the Christmas Doll, a few years ago for my sister. How do you start a thread on the forum? I want to do something in writing challenges, but I need to start a new thread. You'll be excited about it!

Hey guys. I wanted to officially announce this if none of you have seen it yet. I finished the first draft of Dawn and am working on the second, so I wanted ONE beta reader for it. Some of you have expressed an interest in reading it, so I set up a challenge under Writing Challenges for whoever wants a chance to be my beta reader. You can enter and on April 18th I will decide a winner. The winner can give me her address and Mom HAS given me permission, so I will mail a copy of Dawn to her. Then she can mail or post her thoughts and opinions to me. Further details are posted in the challenge. I can't wait to see what you guys come up with.

Groan, groan. Snow in April. Like a slap in the face when you expected a kiss. Any of you all been doing anything interesting? I've got major cabin fever. Plus, being a freshman in high school doesn't exactly compare to having adventures outside. Why study the insides of a frog on a computer when I could just go look at the real thing? My special tree, Griffin's Passage, has been calling for me to come out and explore again (on our whopping less-than-an-acre) but I can't. *sigh* Foiled by nature. Who can argue with that? Actually I'd love to, but it'd be useless. Don't tell me ya'll don't have cabin fever too.
