Your goldfish has got to be the best named fish in the world. Hmm, can't say I've ever taken apart old electronics, though I do pick up and keep stray things like springs, nails, screws, weights...I mean, who knows when someone will need a paint can opener or a dog's choke collar?

Actually, Squishy died after three days. We found out that even though five years ago, my old fish survived just fine, we were apparantly doing everything wrong. So he's gone. My brother has done that contest for two years! The first time he didn't win, the second time he got first place! The first one was called Redemption, I think, and the winning one from last year was the Challenge. I'm thinking about doing the art contest this year. Return of the King was awesome!!!!! ;D I loved it! My favorite parts were any part with Sam and Rosie, and Faramir and Eowyn. They are both so cute together! Awww! Squeeeaaaal! Sigh! Half of my mollasses collection (mollasses being my sister not being able to pronounce miscillanious right. And i can't spell it right. ) was picked up off the ground. A random bar of metal, pieces of glass, crushed earings, to name a few.

I'm thinking about entering the contest this year...if I can decide what to do. We'll see.
I do love Sam and Rosie, and Faramir and Eowyn. I like the 'it is not this day' speech.
Has anyone seen The Lego Move? We're watching it right now (we've seen it before) and it is so funny.

Have you ever thought about if anyone tried to give an inspirational speech and it ended up like this?
"But it is not this day! We will fight! We will fight for our homeland! We will fight for out children, our wives, our sweethearts, our sisters, our brothers! We will...um...fight...and, uh... go to... destroy the bad... stuff. And we shall not... um, be afraid...and we shall... Just... go fight already, will you?!"
Now imagine this scene with me.
I am sitting at my desk using a mini utility knife to scrape away some glue off a metal bar. I'm being stupid and scraping towards me. The knife slips and I see a tiny white cut on my finger. I shrug and go back to scraping. Then I notice I'm dripping blood on my desk. My first thought is, "Oh, I hope that doesn't stain." I wipe it up with my finger, go to the sink, run some water over the cut and even though the cotton ball I put on it is almost instantly turned red, I just slap a band-aid on it and go right back to scraping the glue. Towards me. You know you're just weird when you grow callused to blood and minor pain.

That speech would be hilarious! Someone has seriously got to do it.
And yes, I know what it is like to be more irritated at getting a cut because I have to deal with the blood, than actually caring about being cut. Or one might just sit there and smear the blood around, making it look worse than it is and thinking it looks cool. (That's even weirder, I fear)

Yes, I've done that with blood... and weirder. I once took a little bit of powder meant to make cherry Kool-aid, mixed with just a little water to make a type of paste, and smeared across my face and arms... it actually looked really realistic. I looked awful. Awesome, right? My dad said that someone should make an edit where a teenage kid is asking his dad for the car keys, and the dad replies, "Some day, I will say yes; but TODAY IS NOT THAT DAY!!!"

Oh, that is too good! TODAY IS NOT THAT DAY!!! That's one of our favorite lines here at home. Once we were driving and the road was closed. And Mom and I started quoted 'The way is shut. It was made by those who are dead, and the dead keep it. The way is shut.' And Dad just shook his head at us.

I have smeared blood before to make the cut look worse, and then gone around church waiting to see who will notice it first. Maybe I should try the paste thing and freak my brother out. I couldn't show my dad because he gets faint at the sight of a lot of blood. We were watching a movie where a guy had to close his own wound, and I'm just sitting there watching, when I look over and notice my dad has turned his head, my younger brother has closed his eyes with a grossed out look on his face and my older brother left the room. I'm thinking, "What? You know it's fake." What did y'all do for Memorial Day? I worked at the balloon creations stand at an outreach my church does for the neighborhood. We had inflatables, and after the outreach was done, all the church teenagers were going crazy on them. It was a blast! Even though I got two blisters, three burns, and one raw patch were my skin was scraped off. All on my feet.

Oh, and on beta reading. Sorry Hope, that Song of the Sword feedback is a little late. I've been sick and really busy trying to finish a last minute baby shower present. And Dawn will probably be gotten to you and Corissa later too. I've been having problems connecting my laptop to our printer. Sorry. :S

That's fine. There is a life outside of writing...even if I try to ignore it sometimes.

Hope, I have the beta reading printed out, so the next time you're at church, I will give it to you. And for you and Corissa, could you print out your opinions on Dawn when you get it and give them to me? It would be more convenient for me to reference to them since we don't have internet in our house.

Check that last comment...we won't be at church this Sunday because it's Father's Day. We should be there the week after though.

Ok, I'll bring it then. I almost hyperventilated when we listened to the Warden and the Wolf King last night and Kalmar almost got caught by the winged fangs. Those things are the creepiest things I have ever heard of. Listening to them was creepier than watching LOTR! And then I almost exploded when Kal decided to set off for the Killridge Mountains. Alone. But I'll bet Janner finds him and they go together, hence the title. Okay, now I am on a cameo jewelry kick. I've decided to start collecting them, but mostly necklaces, because i don't wear bracelets a lot, and cameos are rather large for rings. It all started when I got a green and gold one at Salvation Army. It is soooo pretty! But my collection will probably be slow going since i don't exactly have a large income... $0.00. Does anyone else like cameos?
