You know you're a writer when while playing pirates with your little brother, you come up with this little ditty: "I'll dress ye in the finest rags, Yer my captive prince, I'll carry thee off to ocean crags, Yer my captive prince! I'll throw thee to the sharks and whales, Yer my captive prince, Of thy death there'll be no tales! Yer my captive prince! Being a big sister is fun!

You know you're a writer when you just have to finish your friend's poem! The search for ye will be in vain, Yer me captive prince, The time for ye to lives shall wane, Yer me captive prince. Then at last you'll speak no more, Yer me captive prince, They'll find your body on the shore Ye were me captive prince. Which little brother was it, Zach or Justus?

Wow. Now all we need is someone to tell the tale! You know, a TLS. Your favorite, Anne. Seriously though, that could be a fun prophecy to work with. If you write it I get 20% for giving you the idea and the first half of the poem! It was Justus. His new favorite movie is "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything." He wanted to watch them, but I convinced him to play pirates instead, wrapped him up in a blanket, and took off singing. I think he liked it; he was mainly frustrated at the time because Zachary was vaccuming and didn't want him scattering toys everywhere.

You know you're a writer when you're playing a song on the guitar when you're called to go do the laundry, so while you are so occupied you plot how you can make a story about the song.
